Fridays, Yellow and Lots of Pennies!

   Hey Guys, do you what day it is? The most wonderful, exciting and waited for day. NO , not Christmas! I’s Friday! Now that the week is over and spring has started, it is time to sleep in, stay up late and procrastinate.

 Today was quite interesting and allowed for me to have a bit of fun. Se all those pennies to the left? Those are for my good friend the lunch man. After being rude and impatient I thought that I would give him something that would take PLENTY of time. So, I paid for lunch in ALL PENNIES. Exactly 150 of them. Of course, he was in shock when I handed them to him, but he simply dumped them into the money tray without even counting! Hmm, maybe next time I’ll only pay half! It’s not like he going to count!

 Also, today was the finale of Cancer Awareness Week. All week we people all over the globe having been showing that support and colors for cancer. Monday was purple, Tuesday was orange, Wednesday was blue, Thursday was pink, and Friday was yellow. Yellow represents early childhood cancer affecting millions of children each year. With the glow of Friday of their faces , and the bright pop of color they are clothed in, hundreds of smiling faces bounced up and down the hallways.

More Pink Please

 

 Hey Guys! It Thursday and you know what that mean!!!...One more day until Friday, and the start of spring break. I am so excited that I could ALMOST jump out of my own skin, but we still have to hold on for ONE MORE DAY! I can almost see the beach and smell the salty air.

Today’s theme for Cancer Awareness week was PINK! Pink represents Breast Cancer, and it just happens that today is also International Women’s Day, so go and show appreciation to all of the great women in your lives! A very influential and great woman I know is a survivor of breast cancer. Miss Kathleen Harrison , one of my loved speech and debate coaches and a devoted and wise English teacher , is a Survivor of Breast Cancer. She inspires me each and every day to keep on going even when life is tough, because she is the LIVING and BREATHING example of determination and strength.

And although some might think that the color is too girlyJ, there was of plenty of young gentleman rocking their pink today as well. Such as the AMAZING Wallace Wilson.

Today, I stepped out in my pink and leopard spotted tank top, to add some definition and POP to the pink. I paired this with my blue skinny jeans and my black leather motorcycle boots.I have gotten used to the stares, and random people jumping into my photos, but it was quite hard taking these pictures. There was high wind and the possibility of rain ,but I love this so much, that I wouldn't mind getting drenched ,as long as my hair stays fine :)

Hello Everybody! Today has been another long, boring and very windy day. I was literally almost blown away! So clad in blue today I flew to school. Even though I had to sit through hours of non-stop silence due to the annual TAKS testing, I was still aware enough to sport my blue today. As I mentioned earlier in the week, this week is Caner Awareness Week, and today’s theme was blue. I rocked a casual pair of jeans, gray sequined tank and my cerulean and white striped hoodie.

Blue is the international color for Colon Cancer. The lifetime risk of developing bowel cancer for men is around one in 18. For women, it is around one in 20. And, although I don't personally know someone who is affected by this disease, but I know that there is way too many deaths caused by this disease. So it is time that we spread awareness of this deadly disease.

Orange you glad It's Tuesday?

Hi Everyone! I know that the title is a bit corny, but today Is Tuesday!As I told you all yesterday, this week is Cancer Awareness Week , and today's theme was orange. Okay, i have to admit, i am NOT a huge fan of orange. Whenever I wear it I either end up looking like a pumpkin or a tangerine.And although they taste delicious, I don't want to be mistaken for a fruit. But, I put away my selfish fruity thoughts and decided to help a cause. So today, I stepped out sporting my (not so faveorite, but oh so colorful) tangerine colored dress and hit thesidewalks, where it was quite windy.

For all of you who may not have known, an orange ribbon is worn to represent and support those who have suffered with leukemia. Leukemia is a very severe cancer that infects a person's blood. It weakens you and leaves you very susceptible to disease. One of my dear classmates Oscar was recently diagnosed whit leukemia, and I want him to know that everyone is rooting him on.

Cancer Awarness Week

Hey Everybody! Its Monday and you know what that means, Time to PROCRASTINATE! But, seriously this week is quite special. It is Cancer Awareness week. A week where people around the globe can spread awareness about cancer. To do this, my school is having a different theme for each day to highlight a different type of cancer. This is  something that I hold Dear to my heart. Some of my family members have died from cancer, and recently  one of my classmate Oscar Gregorio was diagnosed with Leukemia. We Miss You Oscar!

Today’s theme was Purple. I was in luck, because not only does purple look excellent against my skin tone, but I had the perfect purple outfit. Today I featured a purple racer back tank top with chiffon around the collar, my cropped trench coat , blue skinny jeans, and last but not least my glittery purple converse.

Thousands of people are affected by cancer every single day. Even if we may not be able affect the cancer itself, we can help the people in need , and show support. Even if the act is as simple as dressing up to spread the word.
