Easter Sunday

Happy Easter Everybody! Today is the day, where we remember how on the third day, Jesus rose from the dead . And it's the day to stuff our faces with lots and lots of food. Just like Christmas, Thanksgiving, and the Fourth of July. Easter is an eating Holiday.I remember as  little girl, getting your new Easter dress, with the frilly socks and shiny patent leather shoes. Sitting in church on Sunday and singing "this little light of mine". I remember going home, sitting around an huge family table with my family . Things are pretty much the same, but today church was  different.

Everybody knows about the black church, Tyler Perry movie stereotypes. Where the one black lady in the huge hat, jumps up in the middle of service and starts screaming at the top of her lungs because she is "feeling the Lord!” Well while visiting my aunt's church I saw exactly that. Except that is included about 2 women. I felt like I was thrown into some weird version of the Exorcist. People were screaming so loud that I think I busted an ear drum.

Well, since it's Spring and Easter, I wore purple and blue florals with hints of black and silver. I was actually  one the people who was dressed tamely. I saw boys in neon green shirts and ties, and a woman with a florescent orange dress and heels to match. I even got some purple eyeliner to match. Although bizarre, it reminded me how much I love Easter.

Happy Easter Everybody!

Rain Rain GO Away!

Hey Guys! Today is Tuesday March 20th! It is OFFICALLY SPRING! Which is hard to believe when it rain was pouring down and what seemed like 100 mph winds were destroying the Earth today. SO, since it is the first day of spring, I thought that it was fit to celebrate!

I thought that it was fit to celebrate! So, I went to the RedBox and got a copy of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Although, I don’t know is I got what I paid for... I got what looks like a bootleg copy of the movie. I will let you guys be the judges. Bootleg or Real? Answer in the comment section below.

The "bootleg" DVD from RedBox

I woke up this morning planning to wear a nice sundress, but then one look at the news and I knew that I had to scrap that plan. Today there was a 95% chance of rain! Since nature decided to pour down today, I went for something weather proof. Today I wore and favorite grey Cole Haan patent leather WATERPROOF rain boots, my blue skinny jeans and a baby blue farm girl top with a sheer gray tank top. I am so glad that I decided to check the new this morning or I probably would be soaked from head to toe.

I almost BLUE you away!

Me in a pack of wild, delirious students.
Hello Everybody! Today has been another long, boring and very windy day. I was literally almost blown away! So clad in blue today I flew to school. Even though I had to sit through hours of non-stop silence due to the annual TAKS testing, I was still aware enough to sport my blue today. As I mentioned earlier in the week, this week is Caner Awareness Week, and today’s theme was blue. I rocked a casual pair of jeans, gray sequined tank and my cerulean and white striped hoodie.

TADA! Ariel and I.

Blue is the international color for Colon Cancer. The lifetime risk of developing bowel cancer for men is around one in 18. For women, it is around one in 20. And, although I don't personally know someone who is affected by this disease, but I know that there is way too many deaths caused by this disease. So it is time that we spread awareness of this deadly disease.

Cancer Awarness Week

Hey Everybody! Its Monday and you know what that means, Time to PROCRASTINATE! But, seriously this week is quite special. It is Cancer Awareness week. A week where people around the globe can spread awareness about cancer. To do this, my school is having a different theme for each day to highlight a different type of cancer. This is  something that I hold Dear to my heart. Some of my family members have died from cancer, and recently  one of my classmate Oscar Gregorio was diagnosed with Leukemia. We Miss You Oscar!

Today’s theme was Purple. I was in luck, because not only does purple look excellent against my skin tone, but I had the perfect purple outfit. Today I featured a purple racer back tank top with chiffon around the collar, my cropped trench coat , blue skinny jeans, and last but not least my glittery purple converse.

Jesse, a frequent photo poser, and I.

Thousands of people are affected by cancer every single day. Even if we may not be able affect the cancer itself, we can help the people in need , and show support. Even if the act is as simple as dressing up to spread the word.

My overly Happy friend Collette, and I.
